'The New Mutants' Pushed Back

With only three months to go till it's release, Fox has decided to push back the next spin-off in The X-Men franchise The New Mutants.. The movie was set to land in theaters April 13th 2018, but apparently Fox was not happy with the films test screening.. Word has it the studio wants to beef up the scares and go full on horror.. All that being said, I do have to wonder if any of this has anything to do with the recent announcement that Disney will be acquiring Fox? Anyways for now The New Mutants is set to hit theaters February 22, 2019..

Written by Josh Boone and Knate Lee, Directed by Josh Boone. The film will be more sci-fi/horror than your stereotypical superhero/comic book movie..

The story will center around five new mutants being held against their will in a secret facility having to battle the dangers of their powers, as well as the sins of their past. They aren’t out to save the world — they’re just trying to save themselves...

Written By: Josh Boone, Kante Gwaltney, Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber - based on the comic book By: Chris Claremont..

Cast: Anya Taylor-Joy (Split, Morgan, The Witch and M. Night Shyamalan's upcoming Unbreakable sequel GLASS), Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones) Charlie Heaton (Stranger Things), Henry Zaga (Teen Wolf), Blu Hunt (The Originals) and Alice Braga (I Am Legend, Repo Men, Predators, The Rite)..
